  • 1.  Win7 can't right click and select "Scan for Viruses"

On Windows 7 I have SEP 11.0.5 installed....

If I right click a file, I don't have the option to "Scan for Viruses" Same issue if I right click a USB drive and attempt to scan. Was this option removed?

This option is not there on 64 bit OS..
This option is also not available when logged in via RDP

    Good to know.
I wonder why it isn't there?

I ran into a similar situation today. Not having to do with SEP though.
I'm running Win7 Pro 32-bit, and when I right click the context menu the "search" entry is missing. I loved that feature in XP. It might just be me.

Yes, it would be good to see it for 64 bit, especially for USB drives as I don't think they are scanned once inserted

For them you'll have to create custom scan from SEP GUI.
An Idea has already been posted for this.
