    My company is using Symantec Endpoint Encryption Full disk edition V8.0.1

    Several users are reporting logon problem. Experience is this;

    1. SEE preboot logon succeed

    2. Windows XP fails finishing computer configuration and service. User can't see profile loading screen.

    I think one of these two clues are the reason. Can you give any idea to find the cause?

    1. Version 8.0.1 is too outdated.

    2. Wrong configuration in Computer policy.

    This sounds like an issue I've seen previsouly, whereby a Windows machine will get past the SEE PBA screen and start loading Windows, but then displays nothing but the blue Windows background and sticks at that point.  Does this sound like your situation?

    In my experience, this is usually down to a problem make/model, so if you could provide that information (along with the Windows SP level, any other encryption software that may also be present, etc) it would be useful.

    Upgrading SEE to the latest version (8.2.0MP2) will help, as the various Maintenance Patches and updates may include a fix for you particular make/model.  Plus in 8.2.0, Symantec introduced the "Hardware Configuration" bit, to try to address the various compatibility issues.

    It's Windows XP SP3, Dell Latitude E6420. Symptom is exactly match to your description.

    Your information about SEE 8.2 is very helpful. I'll propose upgrading. Thanks.

    ...with this make and model.

    I'd highly recommend you contact Symantec Support and log a case with them to verify which version you need to download to get this working.  There are a number of HotFix versions that aren't listed on FileConnect and can only be obtained via Support.
