Hello All,

We all are aware that SEP 12.1.6 RU6 MP1 with build 6318.6100 is compatible with Windows10 Operating System

Able to install the same on Windows. But while trying to do a Windows Update

Get a Message as "Uninstall this app because it isn't compatible with Windows10".

Even though SEP is working fine and update to date with definitions.

PLEASE SUGGEST..

This messge comes from Windows Update?

Sounds more like a Windows issue instead of SEP

Any suggestions on how to proceed further.

As of now i received two more customers saying the same.

Do you have a screenshot?

Have you engaged Symantec and Microsoft? Being brand new this may be a bug somewhere. Personally I haven't seen it so I can't determine.

Being an employee, don't you have much more insight to this? I haven't seen this issue and I haven't heard from others so I can't say if it has been seen or not by others. But if you work for Symantec you already have one foot in the door.

I am working on it but its always good to check with others i what i felt..

Moreover i want to discuss in the group so that i would know the percentage as well..

I got the same which prevented install. But I uninstalled SEP ran the windows 10 upgrade successfully then ran the SEP install which ran fine and SEP is working correctly on the machine. Seems to miss something for SEP in the app upgrade process which is why it comes up as incompatable.

It comes up with this error as posted above

i suppose you should open an support ticket with symantec becasue they can tell you that if there i any others facing this issue also they will be the best person to call it if its on them or on microsoft.

Mine was the same I got the same while trying to upgrade. Then I tried uninstalling SEP ran the windows upgrade successfully then ran the setup.exe to install SEP again and everything worked.
