Windows 1720 error when removing the ESM 6.5 Agent

Server OS is Windows 2003 . When trying to remove the ESM 6.5 in add/remove programs we receive a windows installer error 1720. Other programs add/remove fine and without issues.
Has anyone had this issue and how do we remove the 6.5 Agent now??

you may try registering the dll's and uninstall..

You can just delete the folder for ESM agent. Some registry entries will remain but if you are reinstalling they will be overwritten.
P.S. Uninstall does not always work...its flaky

There was a problem with ESM 6.5 regarding agent uninstallation. This issue is fixed in ESM 6.5.3 release.
You can either
1. Upgrade the agent to ESM 6.5.3 or later.
or
2. Delete the ESM Agent folder and Services. But make sure you have deleted service, agent installation directory and files properly.

I am facing the same error message 1720, despite of re-registering the dll files and uninstalling the software through windows clean up utility, any more suggestions???
