    Hi,

    I have a problem on windows 2000 and SEP 11.0.6100.645.When I enable policy Application and Device control and check off any Rules Stes at console and use same EXE file (calc.exe),I can not delete this file.

    Error Deleting Files or Folder

    Cannot delete Copy of Calc: Access is denied. The source file may be in use.

    Hello kral,

    You may need to open a case for this, since I've heard this problem with windows 2000 before.

    You can basically place all windows 2000 computers into the same group and withdraw application device policy from that group, if you really don't need the policy.

    I used default policy Log files written to USB drives, but when I used another default policy problem is same.

    Foe withdrawing the policy In SEPM go to Clients--->corresponding group--->policies-->Application and device control--->tasks-->withdraw the policy...

    When withdraw or disable this policy,restart client,used calc.exe and after delete - this is OK.

    But I must enable,this policy on clients.

    If this is the default policy as you said, you should file a case for this.

    You may use the workaround I suggested until you get some response the case. But I believe this is a problem which will need a fix.

    On the other hand you can try to install 11.0.5000 or 11.0.4202 version of the SEP agent on Windows 2000 computers until you have a fixed version.
