    I am running into a problem when trying to install the new client on a Windows 2003 server.  See below:

    Symantec Ghost Client Agent
    An exception has occurred of type C0000005
    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Ghost - C:\Program Files\Symantec\Ghost\ngctw32.exe
    11.0.1.1533
    [ Limited backtrace only ]
    SysAllocString+0x3E30
    SysAllocString+0x30D9
    e:\depot\ghost\gss2.0\ghost\configureagent\agentlib\keymgr.cpp#334:KeyInfo::check
        unsigned int * buf=
    regPath+0xCE0
    Library::Gc::SStatic::SStatic+0xF
    0xCCCCCCCC

    if anyone has a procedure or knows of a link of a procedure for backing up a 2003 server it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rick H.

    This has come up a couple of times, it's unfortunately a problem in the 2.0.1 that I introduced in processing one of the messages sent by the 2.0.0 server; although I've changed it subsequently in later internal builds, the basic rule for now should be that you need to upgrade your servers to 2.0.1 if you want to deploy the 2.0.1 clients.

    This isn't a general rule - normally we strive to make all versions of the servers and clients compatible in any combination - but in this specific case I got it wrong. If you have your servers at build 1533 (aka 2.0.1) then the clients shouldn't do this.
