Windows 2003 cluser client passive node

G'day,

I am seeing a 71 error on a windows 2003 passive cluster node when performing a backup of "Shadow Copy Components:\".

The active node has no problems backing it up....

Any hints anyone? :-)

I had the same issue, Support in their wisdom, was to trash the existing policy, which included other cluster servers which were fine and to re-create a new policy with the same details.

They could offer no explanation why this would resolve it, I guess they thought that the old one was corrupt ?

I had already moved the problematic server to a test policy, which did help, so to their credit, the new policy did cure the issue, but I'm not very happy at this 'resolution'.

It looks like NBU is stopping volume shadow copy services... we are using snap manager on the filers....
