Dear Team,

We have installed the Symantec Endpoint protection manager on windows 2003 server. After installation the servers cannot connect to microsoft and Symantec website, but it can access google and other websites. We have reduced the security settings in "Internet Options" but still we face the issue.

Please help.

Dear Ashish we have not deployed SEP client. It is just the Symantec Management server.

Is there any setting on Windows OS which may be preventing this.

What is the message reflect while connecting the Microsoft Site?

Have you configured any firewall policy?

The issue is happening only with Windows server OS. Windows clients can access all these sites.

We have also checked the firewall policy and there is no issue.

SEPM Manager does not have any protections technologies on it's own ...its a manager only, it cannot block any access etc. Can you access the external sites if you stop the SEP Manager Service?

Kindly stop the smc service and try to open the site. Also please reply the error message .
