Hello,

My server is IBM x345, Windows 2k3 std. with SP1, IBM ServerRAID6M, HP-Ultrium2 tape changer and Backup exec 10.d SP1. Then when I restored using IDR my server, Windows 2k3 cannot run normally. However windows is booted and reboot without blue screen.

Also, I updated windows driver and backup exec following this forum before making IDR disc.

What problem is there in IDR ? And how do I fix this problem ?

1. Install Windows
2. Install Veritas
3. Inventory tape. Restore
4. Run restored server
5. Throw away IDR. It's rubbish.

Hello John,

When you said that ' Windows 2k3 cannot run normally', what exactly happens? does it keep rebooting? Do you get any error message? Had you attempted an automatic, assisted or manual recovery? Did you install the same drivers during the recovery? Had you updated the .dr file after the complete backup?

Refer to the following link and the links mentioned in that technote for more information on IDR:

If the issue persists, revert with specific details.
