SEPM is not supported on Windows 7

Remote console can be installed but not SEPM

    Arif

Also it is not about "SEPM on Windowsn XP" and "Client supported". It is IIS on Windows XP limitation that it will allow 10 conncurrent connections.

There are certain settings those can be done in SEPM, if installed on Windows XP, for more than 10 computers.

    Hi arif.kausar,

Installing the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager onto Windows 7 is not recommended because Microsoft limits the amount if concurrent connections their workstation operating systems can handle to 10. This means that should you install the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to a Windows 7 machine, no more than 10 SEP clients could connect to the manager software at one time. This is a big limitation if you have more than ten or twenty machines.

I highly recommend installing the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to a server.

    Regards,
    James

    Hey Arif

That is correct, with a bit of fine tunning we can have 100 cleints reporting to the SEPM on XP. the same has also been mentioned in the System reuirments

    • Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or later
Note: Windows XP supports a limited number of concurrent users if the clients are in "push" mode. Use "pull" mode on Windows XP servers for up to 100 clients.
