Running DS 6.9 SP4.

After reimaging PCs to Windows 7 from XP, the console still reported these machines as XP.

Removed systems from console and let them re-populate. When they showed back up in the console under Computers with the name New Computer, Logged On User is blank, OS is blank, and all TCP/IP information is blank. However, I can remote onto these systems and rename them.

Do you have DAgent installed or AClient?  You will need to have the DAgent installed in Windows 7.  Also, make sure that the DAgent is the same version as your DS.  This can cause some issues if it is not.

Another thing to try after doing the above is to right-click on the machine, Advanced, Get Inventory.  Wait a few minutes and see if it updates properly.

Hey we had this problem and I ran a client uninstall of the Agent from the DS then I reset the agent using the remote Agent installer I had to unfreeze my labs that were affected but it cleared up.and everyone got happy with the names and the information populated. We had a small DNS issue but I believe we just had a corrupt Agent that was installed in several images. Everything is hunky dorry again.

I performed your recommendations above and this seemed to take care of my issue also. I don't know how the Agent could have gotten corrupt. But this solved my problem - Thanks.
