Windows 7 Scripted install - Is there one out there?

Created: 11 Apr 2013 | 4 comments

Has anyone found a decent guide for a full windows 7 scripted install in DS7.1 - all the ones I can find are pretty vague or dont contain much information.

I hope you don't mind me pointing you to the article I posted, which is for 6.9, but I work on the same article for the 7.x environment at present, but am very short on time. This may help you a bit further...

Hi Thanks, I think ive had a look at this and its not much help for 7.1sp2. I really dont understand why Symantec haven't produced something liek this for customers.

Working on stuff like this, just like the content we just put out on Connect.  Your "request" though is a good one.  I'll put it on the list, but it may take a bit of time.

If you could do me a favor though - what have you found, and what do you feel is missing - generally speaking.  We have a few people here that have done MANY MANY SOI's and I'm pretty sure we can easily fill-in-the-blanks.

PS>  I'm also pushing to get more of this "kind" of thing into the next version of our official documentation - like actual use-cases, rather than just "this menu does this" stuff.  We'll see.  They're making progress though, but in the mean time, support will help fill in the blanks for you.  :D

I'll just second this request.  We are about to move away from fat disk images and move onto scripted installs.  Would be good if there was an upto date accurate guide available.
