Hello,

When I can expect Windows 7 to be supported by the Notification Server 6.0.xxx and Altris Agent 6.0.xxxx?

Can I be notified after this had happened?

Thanks,
Peter

This has been covered in other posts

however the next update (HF R12) should cover this. I believe it's been planned for Q1, but I don't have a firm date. If you subscribe to the Notification Server articles or are subscribed to the Altiris Service center, you should be notified.

Windows 7 Support

The latest information from Product Management is that Windows 7 support on the 6.x platform will be available around the May 2010 time frame.

I'll add a disclaimer though and say that dates are subject to change. :o)

WHAT!!?

Interesting, does this count for All Solutions within NS 6 ie. Carbon Copy? I will be blown away if this is the case!

CC

Well, CC 6.2 uses RDP and/or VNC for Vista currently, so perhaps that will be the "supported" route with Carbon Copy...?

Thanks,

Hello EugeneFT, With regard

Hello EugeneFT,

With regard to Symantec Management Console 7 software.  Did you check our compatibility site?
Windows 7 Compatibility: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibilty.)
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/en-us/default.aspx
There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".
Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum specifically for IT Pros located here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/w7itpro/ . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.

Hey Windows7 guy..

Thanks for the links, it's now one of my bookmarks. I had a look and the info im looking for is "still coming"
If anyone knows of any info that might suggest that CC will work on Windows 7, please refer me to that documentation.

Thanks for the replies thus far.

Carbon Copy is EOL

However if you have current AUP, you are entitled to PC Anywhere. PCA doesn't integrate into the v6 console, however.
