    Hi.

I have a new Windows 7 computer. It is registered on my companys domain.

We have Symantec Enpoint Protection pre-installed by helpdesk when we get our machines. My account has administrator privelages on the machine.

Yesterday I tried to stream images, sound and video from my machine to my XBOX360 to be able to view the conten on my tv but it failed. The XBOX showd up on the computer but the XBOX could'nt find my laptop.

I tried the setup both with Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center.

At last I tried to disable Symantec Endpoint Protection. When it was disabled the laptop showed up on the XBOX and I could successfully stream media.

What must I do to make Symantec Endpoint Protection to allow Streaming to my XBOX (and let my XBOX discover my LAPTOP)?

Both the XBOX and the Laptop are connected through my local WLAN.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Jan-Erik Öhman

I am guessing your firewall is blocking traffic out to your Xbox. Check the Network Threat Protection logs to see what traffic is being blocked, and by what rule is blocking.

If this is a centrally managed client install, your IT staff may need to get involved with the firewall modifications.
