Is a Windows 8 compatible version of SEP installer available?

Created: 27 Nov 2012 | 3 comments

We get the following error when trying to install SEP on new Windows 8 laptops:

Symantec Endpoint Protection has detected that there are pending system changes that require a system reboot.  Please reboot the system and rerun the installation.

Rebooting doesn't solve the problem.

Is there a Windows 8 compatible version of SEP installer?  If so, how can we get it?

SEP 12.1 RU2 is the first version to support WIndows 8. Although, I do have RU1 running on WIndows 8 so it will install, it's just not supported.
