  • 1.  Windows Definitions in SEPM shows latest than from Symantec

    Hi All,

    Our SEPM (12.1.4100) shows the below

    Windows Definitions

    Latest from Symantec : 04/22/2014 r1
    Latest from Manager : 04/22/2014 r19

    How is it possible to have r19 in SEPM when Symantec is in r1?

    Please clarify.

    Symantec will release daily 4 times defination.It's take time for update virus defination in SEPM.

    It's depend what setting do you have done in SEPM live update setting

    I don't have any issues in downloading the updates in SEPM.it is working fine.

    I just need the clarification..

    You don't worry symantec will released every 8 hours virus defination,Some time after both virus defination are same.

    Hello all,

    There might be an issue but Symantec should be working on it and will be corrected in due time. 

    Furthermore, LiveUpdate should continue to download new content and the SEPM will continue to update its managed clients with those new materials, regardless of what appears in that field in the console.

    I also do have the same Definition

    Hello all,

    Just a quick confirmation that this is an issue Symantec is aware of and hope to have corrected soon.

    Please treat this as cosmetic- your SEPMs, SEP clients that connect directly to the Internet, etc will continue to download and apply the latest protection, regardless fo what is displayed in the SEPM console.
