Hi,

I am getting lots of Windows 2000 Server event warnings with Event ID 2510, Source: Server, Description: The server service was unable to map error code 1722.

I have done some research and the error appears to be with Veritas Otman4.sys or Otman5.sys files.

Recently Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 was uninstalled from the server and replaced with Acronis 10 Server True Image.

There are no services running for Veritas or BackupExec which I can see.

The event log shows the error approximately every 2 - 5 minutes.

Thanks

Duncan

Maybe BE was not uninstalled completely ? You might check the registry for BE entries or use MSI cleaner to get rid off leftover BE 'stuff'. You do find the *sys file mentioned on your drive ?

Hi,

Please update us if you found any registry entries for Backup Exec after executing the MSI cleanup..

Thanks,
