No. The install fails. At least, it did not during my testing.

I'm hoping RU4 will support it.

R2 is not mentioned either here:

System Requirements for Symantec Endpoint Protection, Enterprise and Small Business Editions, and Network Access Control 12.1.2 and 12.1.3

Hello,

SEP 12.1 RU4 would support Windows 8.1 and Windows server 2012 R2

Currently, SEP 12.1 RU3 and below are not compatible with Windows 8.1 "Blue" product release - there are a number of bugs which we are working to iron out.

Please do not install 12.1 on Windows 8.1 Blue for the moment. We are working to support this release with SEP 12.1 RU4.

Check this Thread:

SEP 12.1 and Windows 8.1 "Blue"

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sep-121-and-windows-81-blue

We aim to Release SEP 12.1 RU4 by early November.

Hi Idaman22,

Windows Server 2012 R2 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/products/windows-server-2012-r2/default.aspx#fbid=27mEgKwUJRG) is one of the new OS's that will be supported by SEP 12.1 RU4.

It also introduces support for Mac OS X 10.9 and Windows 8.1.

SEP 12.1 RU4 is currently expected to be available in early November 2013.  &: )

With thanks and best regards,
