    Hello John,

Surface 3 has been a problem and we are still testing it to give full Support.

Some customer have had success with capture and deploy.

Definetly some good KB's to read before starting to test (Because worst scenario you will brick the device)

On my first round I attempted with Ghost using Syntax: x:\ghost>ghost64.exe -ntil -ntic

This allows capture, but the redeploy will Brick the Device.

Adding ntexact is supposed to correct it, however i have not yet dared to try as it took a few weeks to rma the test unit.

    Syntax: x:\ghost>ghost64.exe -ntexact -ntil -ntic

Currently we are using a usb key method with dism. The bigger issue we are having is the 64 bit boot CD agents are not working correctly. We could not get all the agents to register. We are currently holding for the next SP which should have many fixes for this and GSS 3x.

    Hello,

I would say big NO to capture the image with Rdeploy, as rdeploy is no longer developt.

It is basicly EOL soon, legacy support is still there to deploy but to capture new devices, that is the worst idea ATM.

You might want to try SP6 with Supported WinPe4 and newer version of agent.

Have seen problems where Agents might not work 100% correctly on older version of DS and WinPE4

Unfortunately you can not accomplish this easily from your current build of altiris.... This can however be accomplished with a USB drive if you follow the steps outlined in a guide I wrote a while back. The only thing that has changed is that at the time of writing the guide WinPE 5 was not available.  Just use WinPE 5 x64 instead of WinPE 4 and the same process will work to deploy Surfaces or similar UEFI devices. Let me know if this helps :)
