Windows XP Image Password Error

I created a Windows XP plus applications image using Ghost Soultions Suite 2.0 and sysprep and after I image a PC I'm unable to logon as local XP Administrator. I even re-imaged a PC and this time specified a new password for local Administrator after rebooting, but I'm still not able to logon. The error says bad username or password.

Is there a way to fix this problem or is this simply a corrupted image?

Thanks,
Howard

Try blank password

Hello,

In Windows Vista, the built-in administrator account is disabled by default. In previous versions of Windows, an Administrator account was automatically created during Out-of-Box-Experience (OOBE) with a blank password. Please try administrator user with blank password.

Ghost Explorer

Hello,

Since that setting is in the Sysprep answer file (sysprep.inf), you should be able to open that image in the Ghost Explorer, browse to and extract the Sysprep.inf file, edit that setting and replace it. Try doing that and see if redeploying that image would allow this.

Thank you,

Randy
