Hi, i have been using DS boot disks for a while using the Linux Pre boot OS with my img files on the DVD.

I  have an occasion where i need to create a WinPE boot disk, i have followed a few guides on getting this to work but simnply cant get WinPE to boot correctly.

The latest issue is when the computer attempts to boot i get an error whcih reads " Windows Failed to Start.......etc etc, Ramdisk device creation failed due to insufficient memory"

The target computer has 1GB RAM. I cant understand what this issue is. Any help appreciated.

The giude i am using is from https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/blogs/winpe-21-bootable-dvd-rdeploy

Thanks.

Colin.

Check the BIOS

I believe I had that problem on an older HP model (D530) and upgrading the BIOS to latest version solved the problem.
