  • 1.  Winrm service failed to create SPN

    With SEP the winrm service of my server failed to create SPN.

    EventID : 10154

    The WinRM service failed to create the following SPNs:

    WSMAN/MYSERVER.hq.corp.com; WSMAN/MYSERVER.

     Additional Data
     The error received was 8235: %%8235.

     User Action
     The SPNs can be created by an administrator using setspn.exe utility.

     

    And without SEP it works

    Hello,

    Does this Event ID appear even if you uninstall SEP from your machine?

    What Version of SEP are you running on your machine?

    Is this a Windows 2008 Server?

    The problem doesn't appear without SEP.

    I'm running the latest version of SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 (12.1.1101.401)

    The problem appears on a Windows Server 2008 R2.

    I checked the links before publishing the post, but it's not  a rights problem.

    In that case, I would suggest you to create a Case with Symantec Technical Support.
