Winuser Console Error

The Helpdesk Solution is installed and the AUP doesn't expire until 3/11/09. Why am I suddenly getting this error in the Winuser Console. (Altiris Helpdesk Solution must be installed to use this console.)Additionally, I'm unable to create incidents in the worker console.

Any ideas?

Hello,

It seems the link between NS and HD is broken.

If you go to Configuration > Server Settings > Notification Server Settings > Incident Settings

- Do you get the page?

- If you click ok on 'Test Connection' does it works

Thanks

It is connected just fine. Strangely, I can view the worker console but cannot create new incidents from it.

Those would help if the Winuser console would actually load. See my original post. This has something to do with the licensing, I'm just not sure exactly what it is.

Hello,

Are you using full licenses or trial licenses(7 months valid)?

if you run a select on the LicenseStatus table do you get the same expiration date?

What are the corresponding logs in the logviewer you get when trying to get the winuser console?

You might want to try a Repait on helpdesk Solution as it seems the security is broken (worker cannot create incident

The strangest thing has happened now. I deleted all of the certificates but all of the licenses still appear. And, no, I'm not using any trial licenses. I will try your suggestion and let you know what happens.

Well, that didn't work afterall. I have since reinstalled HD Solution altogether with no luck. This is driving me nuts as I have a deadline to reach.

Did you call Altiris Support there are a good Helpdesk Team there?

Also did you try to remove your licenses and reapply them?

Thanks

Sorry it took a while. I have done all of that and am still getting this error.

I've had this problem before and resolved it by just re-applying the Incident Settings (GoTo Configuration > Server Settings > Notification Server Settings > Incident Settings and just click 'Apply'). If you've already tried that then I'd probably get ahold of Altiris Support.
