Wise Installation Studio/Express 7.0 training classes
Updated: 23 May 2010 | 4 comments
I have recently been handed over responsibility for one of our windows products install scripts and have been creating new versions of our MSI package for a few months now. I have now come to realize there is much I do not know or understand about this product and am seeking to find a training course. Symantec has listed just such a course (Altiris Wise Installation Studio 7.0, AT700) but it’s no longer offered. I contacted Symantec and they are looking to schedule this again (does not sound promising if you ask me).
Does anyone know of any other formal training for Wise Installation Studio 7.0?
Thanks for your time,
Jim

You could do worse than browsing here and AppDeploy.com
Don't know why 'x' happened? Want to know why 'y' happened? Use ProcMon and it will tell you.
Think about using http://www.google.com before posting.
Where are you located?
There are Symantec Partners that also give courses, at least here in the UK. Perhaps if you can tell us which territory you are based in, someone might be able to suggest a partner that offers training. Or try researching the Symantec Partners which are no doubt listed somewhere on their website.
If your issue has been solved, please use the "Mark as Solution" link on the most relevant thread.
In SF Bay Area
I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area, about 30 miles from Symantec Headquarters. I will do some research on their partners and see what I come up with. If I find anything out I’ll be sure to post.
Eden Technologies
Eden is a very important partner in the application packaging space for Symantec. While the formal classes are targeted at Wise Package Studio, you might want to contact them to see if you think they might be able to help.

Hope that helps.
