I'm with a new firm that uses Installshield for creating software installation packages. I'm not the technical person here but my tech at my last firm used the Wise product very successfully. I have no experience with Installshield. I'd like to be able to give management a comparison of the two products in the hope of tipping the scale toward change. Can those of you who have used both give me a rundown on the key differences that make you lean toward the package studio? Thanks.

Component Rules

Component Rules is a really nice feature. InstallShield has nothing like it.
Wise is smaller, so easier to install.
Wise has a nicer view of the Sequence tables

Unfortunately that's about it

Installshield vs WPS

This is like opening up a huge can of worms, I would be more inclined to say that both certainly have their pros and cons. Its more so what one's used to using, Installshield people will say Installshield is better and likewise with WPS users.

But check this link out, you'll find it interesting Installshield vs WPS
