Hi Everybody.

Just a quick note.
Recently it has been reported that during the installation of a .MSI created with the Wise Windows Installer Editor, the WiseCustomCalla and WiseCustomCallb dlls have been mistakenly detected as trojan horses by Vipre Antivirus.

Symantec Support has contacted Vipre Antivirus about this false positive.

More information can be found in the Symantec/Altiris Knowledgebase at the following URL:

The reporting of false positives on various Wise files has happened before. I'm sure this is not unique to Wise as it's nigh on impossible for antivirus companies to test their detection engines against every possible program file they will encounter. It will be interesting to see how responsive Vipre prove to be.
Thank you for flagging this up.
