  • 1.  Won't login into windows from PGP

We did a domain migration. All the Windows XP laptops will not log all the way into Windows like the Windows 7 laptops. We are using PGP Desktop version 10.1.1. Is there any way around this. I have deleted the account that pointed to the old domain and created a new account in PGP desktop With no luck. It will say "The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name and domain are correct, then type your password again. Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct caes."  The username and password are correct.

In most cases where a customer will be doing a domain migration I suggest running C:\Program Files\PGP Corporation\PGP Desktop\pgpwde.exe --change-userdomain --disk # --user %login% --new-domain %domain%. This can be done as the end user, as part of a migration script and should work either before or after the actual change in domain name. (Replace #, %login% and %domain% with the relevant values.) More information on the pgpwde command line tool can be found here ⇒ http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH149100

However; since you have removed the user and added a new one and still are not logged into the machines, I will point you to my starting place for single sign on issues.
