Workflow Soluiton

I am trying (and struggling) to create a basic workflow that presents the end-user with a webform where they enter a computer name and mac address, click a button and the computer is created in the NS console and a DS job is then applied to it. (It is worth noting I am using both NS and Ds 7.1).

Now the problem may be because I have never used workflow before and am learning it as I go along however it seems to get very complicated quite quickly.

So far I have managed to display the webform and create the resource using the "Create resource for SMP" and upon checking the resource does indeed get created however I need to get the MAC address working as without it, DS cannot PXE boot the machine.

The reason for doing this is I cannot use "Initial Deployment" in DS7.1 due to remote locations plugging in their own franchise IT equipment etc so I see this workflow webpage as the only option.

I have also started to play around with the Workflow tool and I am also interested to create a simplified user interface for the most basic operation we plan to perform on our DS environment. I am curious on how your project has gone. Have you managed to get it running as planned or are you struggling with some problems.

Do you by any chance have any information to share to a fellow beginner?
