I was wondering if anyone had documentation or could explain Workflow Exchanges? From my understanding, during the setup process, most of us setup the exchanges to persist in a SQL database. How I see them used in SD 7 for example, it seems this is a place to put information to pass to another workflow (more or less like a queue or a stack). However, it seems that you can do other things with this. I was just wondering what all can be accomplished with this?

The reason I am asking, is I am creating a Service Request Process, that will create an entry in the Ensemble database. Currently, I have gotten it to work by using the data type "ServiceDeskIncident" filling out the information through my web form and seting up a process to use "Messaging" and filling out the appropriate information. So somehow the exchange is saving this information to the database, I just dont know how. In my example, it is saving it to the Incident Management Table. What I want to do, is to save it to its own ServiceRequest table.

Any explanations on WF exchanges, what they do and how they can be edited or created, would be greatly appreciated. Also, how to even get a license to create exchanges?

    Thanks,
