  • 1.  Workflow reading and amending altiris DB record

    Hi,  are there any good articles, or can anyone help, dealing with reading Altiris 7.1 DB records, then amending the data or creating new data records? using workflow I need to understand:

     

    Reading Altiris 7.1 DB data and displaying to the user

    Allowing a user through workflow to change data (and understand the record locking theory)

    Allowing through workflow a use to add data to a multi entry field (and again reacord locking theory)

    Hi,

    No not so far, try to get on a workflow training course at the moment, looks like early next year.

    You have a couple of options... if the Altiris objects are resources, you can try and use some of the generated resource components for SMP right out of the box. Or you can try using generatin SQL components to manipulate the data in the CMDB directly.
