Workflow in Service Desk and Standalone

I've been playing with the beta so I'm not sure if it's a function of that or if it's that way in production.
I'm noticing some of the controls don't have the same functionality.

For example the grid control doesn't have the option to post form on value change.
Are the controls used in the service desk going to to limited or a different version from standard workflow components?
