    It is the exe for Symantec Installation Manager 

     

    You install Symantec Installation Manager in one of the following ways: •Download and install it from http://www.symantec.com.


    You download it from the product page of the product that you want to install. All of the Symantec Management Platform products are listed at Business > Products > Products A-Z. When you select a Symantec Management Platform product, a Web page opens for that product. Every product's Web page has a Trialware link. The Trialware link takes you to the Software Download page. The Download button on the Software Download page, lets you download and run the EXE that installs Symantec Installation Manager. The name of the file is symantec_sim.exe.


    •If the Symantec Managemnet Platform product is distributed on a CD, install it from the CD.

    I read the below attach link.

    I have already the dump of the application but I need to confirm that is it simple to install on the Server.

    Can I install that application on client system??

    Management server needs to be installed on server OS. The agents also needs to be installed and these can be installed on

    Windows Agent

    • Windows XP SP2 or later x64/x86
    • Windows Vista SP1 or later x64/x86
    • Windows 7 x64/x86

    Mac Agent

    • Mac OS X 10.4.x (Universal binary), 10.5.x (Universal binary), 10.6.x (Universal binary)

    Linux Agent

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 x64/x86, 5 x64/x86
    • SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 x64/x86, 11 x64/x86
