Workstation client utility needed

I have a Win7 Professional client.

I am looking to install desktop client utilty to access the media server so I can manage jobs etc without having to RDP into the server.

Hi JustTryingToGetItToWork,

I think you are looking for the Backup Exec Remote Admin Console. Take a look at this Technote and see if it helps you.

I do not have the installation CD however. Is there a 'download' available of the Backup Exec Remote Admin Console S/W?

There is not a separate download for just the Remote Admin Console. It is part of the Backup Exec Install as a whole (its a different install setting as can be seen in the technote provided above). So, in order to install it, you will need to download the Backup Exec DVD, then run the setup for Backup Exec, then select the "Remote Admin Console" option and finish the installation. You should use the same installation DVD as the Backup Server.

Also, check the compatibility list for supportability. BE 2012 and BE 2010 both support Win 7 to install Remote admin console. For earlier versions check the SCL
