Workstations not appearing as clients on Server

Created: 22 Jan 2008 • Updated: 22 May 2010 | 1 comment

I have two workstations that had SEP clients previously installed from a test SEPM server that no longer exists. I uninstalled the previous SEP client from both workstations. I have set up a new SEPM server. I have installed the SEP client to a few workstations prior to rolling it out for the rest of the company. The two workstations that had installed the SEP client from the test server are not associating with the new server. The other workstations I install SEP client to show up. In addition when I go to the "Help and Support>Troublshooting" section of the SEP client the server shows up as offline. Here are some things I have already tried to resolve the issue.

I have attempted to use the SyLinkDrop tool with a Sylink.xml from the new servers install package.

I have attempted to use the SyLinkDrop tool along with deleting the registry key from some instructions I obtained here: http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/452a6f0b88a8e3ac882573a90068c482?OpenDocument

I have also  initiated an install from the SEPM server after searching for the workstations using the "Find Unmanaged Copmuters" tool.

None of them have fixed my issue so I am hoping someone here can assist me.

Thanks in advance.
