  • 1.  Would not Encypt and register user

    Hello Everyone,
    I have installed Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.1.1MP1 on 2012 R2 Std server
    and created SEE Client_x64.msi 

    I have installed the client_x64.msi on Lenovo ThinkPad windows 10 and successufully check-in on the server.

    After reboot, there is the problems
    1. Encryption does not start automatically
    2. There is no user registered On the Registered Users page of SEE Client Administrator
    3. and the Register button is grey out
    4. Found the error ID 3001 Failed to register client administrator.%2 On the windows event log  

    Any advise it?

    Be sure to get the latest drivers and BIOS revisions for the system, as well as any chipset updates and drive firmware updates.  We have been seeing this behavior on a few systems with specific model/drive combinations.  I would strongly advise you to open a support ticket if everything is current and you don't see any change in behavior.  Engineering will need to investigate further.

    Potential workarounds might be to use Legacy boot (MBR instead of UEFI), or try a different drive model if you have one available for testing.
