I am not a computer person, so I am a bit hesitant about these notifications. Is this legitimate? My computer tels me that SEP is not running, but the program icon on the task bar says it is running just fine. Please advise.

If your using version 12.1 which is giving you this notification, i would advice you to remove the same and intsall 12.1 RU1
which version you are using?
