Oh please someone help me get rid of this. I tried calling symantec....they are no help...want to charge me to remove...wasn't even surfing the web when it hit...was doing homework off a ecu site. Now the darn warnings keep popping up in the middle of everything and I can no longer access IE....I've had to install other browsers. Any suggestions are more than welcome.  Oh by the way...I have Norton 360

Ok, I have seen this now +20 times at different client locations, all doing different things - all using Enterprise - Endpoint Security.

Mcafee users are having the same issue.
ESET Nod32 users are fine.
Heck, Microsoft Security Essentials users are fine.

When will Symantec/Noton have a fix/tool for this?

Crenorx:

Tune in on Thursday March 8th. Symantec is giving a webcast on how to help fight these FakeAVs.

@Child2Wild,

I have seen some info on PCTools ThreatFire that helps protect from these kind of threats. The product is free for home use.
Search for it on Google.
