Attached is SEP_INST.log
our computer is
XP service pack 3
Attachment(s)
And you've also rebooted the machine?
Another thing you can try quickly is to install an unmanaged version with AV only...if it works you can add the other components and make it managed....
Can you also check for the SIS_INST.log file and post it?
Required logs for troubleshooting failed Endpoint Protection 12.1 client installations
Dear Brian
I have tried to reboot several times , but it keep fail.
my version is unmangment version only .
log file have already zipped and post it already
Regards,
There should also be a SIS_INST.log in addition to the SEP_INST.log
Try installing with AV only or even no components. Just to get the core installed and if successful you can add additional components that you need.
Dear all
Attached is SIS_INST.log

I have tried installing with AV only , but it keep failed again
Please Help
What about with none of the components? You should be able to select only the core files..

hi Sumit G,
i found that , when symantec try to copy tvfilter.sys , then computer have to be reboot , and installation is falsed, so what is tvfilter.sys about ?
Can you have tried latest cleanwipe tool which is avaialble in flexnet(file connect).
Best is to run the symhelp there
Download the Symantec Help (SymHelp) diagnostic tool to detect Symantec product issues
Do you have any older version of SEP? Can you try to install at custom location instead of default location?
Dear Sumit G
I have already ran this symhelp to detect Symantec product issues , there is no error found.
and the funny thing is , everytime there is copying tvfilter.sys , and it need to be reboot , and the installation will be failed.
