What backup exec is trying to do every morning with some virtul machines?

I dont see any backups running in BE at this time,

However under V-center, I have message "XXX Backup Task.Label not found XXX",
40%... By backup account.

What is this, will it cause some performance issues to my machines?

Hi

It should not cause any peformance issue and moreover see if below link helps

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search...

It doesn't look to be a Backup Exec issue here as you already have ensured that there is no backup exec activity at that time when you have these alerts

Thanks

Nope Sameer, This article is not related to same problem.

This is done by backup exec, look at the account used and its only case with machines, which are getting backup.

Hello BE Admin,

I am having the same issue here:

ESX vSphere Client 4.1.0 Build 491557

BE 2012 SP1

this began with the update from 2010 to 2012 (seperarte BE servers entierly, not an upagread)

the backups come back OK, and data is there for restore, but at times when the backup fails the process of XXX.BackupTask.label not found XXX needs to be canceled (what are the ramifications of the canelation to both BE and VM?)

need to know exactly what is going on here, who's side is this label not found on, Symantec or VM?

Thanks BackupMac for sharing this article, have you tried it and did that work for you?

I have issues with 2-3 machines and one of them is linux (non GRT Avvi backup)
