Deployment Console Version 6.9 (Build 453) Service Pack 4

Created simple image of Windows 7 64Bit Enterprise and when I manually install the DAgent the PC reboots, renames itself and removes itself from the domain.  This used to happen whenever I would try to remotely install the AClient to any XP machine.

Not sure whats going on here but any help would be appreciated.

More info:  Client is NOT on image and machine is not sysprepped to join to domain.

Thank you.

Is there an aclient.cfg file, maybe in the root of C:?

No.  I didnt install ANY Altiris or Symantec products on my image.  Only used Deployment console to create and deploy said image.

I basically just installed Windows 7 from scratch put computer into audit mode, installed all drivers, important updates, and applications, sysprepped (using answer file I created in WAIK) and created an image.

The only time a client was installed was when I manually installed DAgent which resulted in the title of this post.

How did you create the image? Even if you don't use the windows client (AClient or DAgent) if you use Automation (DOS, Linux or WinPE) Altiris loads an automation agent, the Bootworks client. This might be leaving an aclient.cfg file on thhe system with configuration info that the DAgent reads.

Install the DAgent with full logging turned on and see if you can see anything in the log file.

How are you deploying the image?  Via Altiris?  It's possible that the job never fully completes (i.e. it's set to configure after imaging).  When you install the DAgent, it checks in and still sees there is work for it to do resulting in the computer being "reconfigured" out of the domain.
