Sound good? Here’s how to claim your points in 4 easy steps.
1. Join the "Connect and Protect! (Backup)" group on Connect. (You must join the group before you submit your blog entry)
2. Create a blog entry with answers to the questions asked below with atleast a paragraph each. Be sure to include any tips, hints or suggestions you may have for others going through a similar process. Submit your entry by October 30th, 2009. Please entitle your blog entry "Connect And Protect"..... followed by your company name or other identifier. EXAMPLE "Connect And Protect: Your Story Title"
Questions to answer in your blog entry (please answer a minimum of 4 questions):
- Your role in the organization/company (CTO, CIO, CEO, SysAdmin, etc)?
- What was your backup criteria, concerns and related issues, and how did Symantec Backup products resolve them?
- What were the strategic or financial reasons you chose Symantec Backup Solutions?
- What were the technical criteria/reasons you chose Symantec Backup Solutions?
- Symantec was the right choice because...?
- How has your Symantec Backup Solutions helped you be more successful?
3. Tag your blog with "Connect and Protect! (Backup) " (using the check box) and submit your entry on the Connect site.

4. Create a video blog (and answer the same questions as your original blog entry) and upload your video to the "video section" and tag it with the "Connect and Protect" check box.
After we receive your video blog entry, just sit back and wait - you are then entered into the grand prize round! The grand prize winner will be announced on December 15, 2009.
