I wanted to ensure you are all aware of the release status of the patch content (which include Dell).  Therefore, I have copied the registratin and subscription instructions below:

Question -
What are the latest versions and release dates of the PMImport.cab file for Patch Management Solution?

Note: To make the notifications of new PMImport updates timelier, we have created a new subscription type in the Altiris Service Center. This can be accessed under Subscriptions->Patch Management and allows customers to select the version of Patch Management that they are using and sign up for email alerts when any updates occur. These alerts will be sent to subscribers within about 10 minutes after a new PMImport.cab file is available for download. This will allow customers in all geographical regions to immediately begin distributing new updates instead of waiting for default Notification Server schedules to occur. 

The linked Release Notes are intended to help understand the changes one can expect during the PMImport process.  They will typically be released on the same business day as the PMImport.

July 29th User Group Meeting

Thank you to all who attended the Dallas User Group Meeting, it was a great success! We’d like to thank everyone who presented and for those who could not make it below is a brief description on the presentations. We would also like to thank our Director of the Dallas User Group Larry Roachelle for his dedication and time for the past year; we are looking for a replacement for his position. We also have the Webmaster position available as well; if you are interested please contact Andy Nicholson.

We had three presentations the first was by group member Zach Smith with BNSF Railway, he provided a presentation on imaging 140 bare servers with no user interaction in 3 days with zero downtime. They created a separate network with top mount switches and used a combination of Sys Prep imaging Scripts and Tokens in deployment solution. They used professional services from Intuitive to assist in the planning and best practices of Deployment Solution token deployments and imaging.

The second presentation was Steven Brown the Sr. Product Manager for Mobile Management Solution 7.0. This product is currently in beta with a new beta release expected any day. Currently this product supports Windows CE and Windows Mobile platforms on PDA’s, Handhelds and Smart Phones. With this solution it can provide Application Management, with Inventory, Software Management and Remote Assistance. There are inventory reports available including hardware, battery, memory and application software. With Remote Assistance you can capture screen shots and videos for diagnostics. The beta version is available at beta.altiris.com .

The third presentation was Jordan Gardner Technical Alliance Manager with Symantec that works exclusively for Dell; he provided a deep look into the Dell Client Manager. The DCM is free from Dell and provides the ability to perform BIOS upgraded, hardware management, leverage task server, monitoring policies including Dell Warranty Polices with integration into support.dell.com. There will be an upgrade to Dell Client Manager 3.1 available in September. Check the following link for more information: www.altiris.com/DellClientManager/
