Hi All,   Since updating the Client Management Suite/Asset Management Suite SP2 I have "lost" our AD import rules! The import Rules page in All Settings > Active Directory Import is blank (see image). I have tried to repair the installation using SIM but have had no luck. There does not seem to be a problem listed in the logs at all either.

It seems that portable HP PCs have default settings which put the PCs to sleep or in hibernation and it further seems that Altiris will show these PCs as not currently connected to the Deployment Server, but known to the Deployment Database. It also seems the Wake-up Power Contol is not recognized by the portable HP PC.  I wonder if there is a best practice document for portable

When Stand-alone inventory runs on a Windows system that DOES NOT have the Symantec Management Agent installed, the AEX AC Identification field Hardware Serial Number should be populated.  That would keep the behaviour consistent with Windows systems that do have the Symantec Management Agent installed.

and you don't need to remove the Agent GUID "IF you do as the product is designed and actually use the "prepare for image capture" task, then we clean up the SMP agent install so it CAN be ...

We are using DS 6.9 and Rdeploy to distribute images (WinPE 2.0 environment).  We haven't switched to ghost yet due to issues with it dying on us when distributing an image.  Since redeploy has been working, we've stuck with it.

Asset is not a out of box setting - it goes to Asset Report in that web part   In fact when I got to EDIT> Web Parts I do not find Asset search anywhere
