While configuring GUP now there is no option in console to set how much bandwidth it should use. If such an option get included it will be very helpful for the customers who is having less bandwidth.

While there is a way to mark the main forum post as offensive in the forums, how about a way to mark replys as offensive. Example: A user creates a thread and someone replys making fun of the person asking for help. It would be nice to be able to mark the reply as offensive and possibly if enough people mark it as offensive, the post would be deleted.

There should be inclusion of path of the infected file
in the email alert which we recieve from server.

As the 2 products are really different, I suggest you create a separate product "marker" name for SD7, from "helpdesk", as it is currently the case inside KB.Altiris.com !
You have time, the launch is only: end this week... 2 & 1/2 a year I am waiting for that !!!

We have been upgrading our clusters from Storage Foundation HA for Windows 4.3 to 5.1, with many stability issues after the upgrade. We often have the VMDg and MV agents fault randomly. We have opened many cases with Symantec, and have been told to set the Storage Agent service recovery actions to 'Take No Action'. A new install set's up this service correctly, but upgrades do not.
Please modify the upgrade process to install all services, including the Storage Agent service, with the correct parameters.

Once some one tags your reply as the solution, he automatically sees how many point you have...
Hope this would be taken out to apply privacy...
Why not just show how many points the user had incurred while solving the issue and not showing the entire points you had saved.

Not trying to nitpic here, but in the forums when you post a new topic, it says you're posting a new forum. A bit confusing the first time around. It's a small thing, I know, but a thought none-the-less. Is it a normal thing to call that a new 'forum' or is it just a typo of sorts?

While pasting any content in form, a window will open saying "Paste as Plain Text".
I dont like this kind of handling text's.
Please remove this window and when i paste the text if should automatically paste in the work area.
Even Previous Forum uses the same kind of behaviour but i dont know why New forum got changed like this :(

I know this has been mentioned many times (well at least twice!) & it's supposed to be being developed (?) but can we please, please, PLEASE have the Search Engine improved?
I've spent hours trying to find one post I know I wrote & end up having to "Goo Glit"

I think it would be a good idea if the moderators would be able to retroactively award answers in threads where the OP hasn't posted in x amount of weeks/months. Especially if the answer on the thread is known to be the decisive solution. That is all. : )

I don;t see a forum for Symantec Endpoint Encryption so users have to post their questions on Symantec Endpoint Protection forum both these products being diffrent it becomes difficult for both the Symantec customers and Technical experts.
As a SEP user we cannot have expertise on it so we cannot answer it so it Stays there for days without an answer even people who have knowldge on SEE cannot keep looking on this huge Antivirus forum if anybody has issues with SEE.

Can we change the sort auto-drop-down menu to the drop-down-then-ok menu?
At the moment, it's scripted to take action as soon as the entry is clicked from the drop-down menu, but the Java script is failing.
Because of that, it only sorts by recent replies, stays that way.
If we change the menu system to drop-down-then-ok type, then we can select from the drop-down menu, and then click on the "Sort" button, to confirm the choice.

The Altiris Chat Room has been a valuable resource for those who want quick responses or simple questions answered. Its been a place where admins can come and share their Altiris experiences.
The Juice site used to have a mibbit plug-in for the chat. I believe we should bring back this link so that anybody who wants to check out this resource for themselves can.
