Ability to restore to different server type

I would like Netbackup to be able to convert types during restore. For example, I need to perform NDMP restore, but I have a problem getting a destination server. It would be nice to have in stream conversion between types, so the NDMP backup could be restored on Unix or Windows server. Another nee is restore Windows backup to Unix servers.
Currently it is possible to run Windows restore to Standard type server, but the restored data is useless. The in stream conversion on file level could be very useful.
