Add IP access rules to SEPM

It's a security device so it should have the ability to limit access to the administrative interface by IP address and alert when someone from an unauthorized computer tries to login.

You have a SEP client on the SEPM right?

The firewall in the SEP client can do what you are describing.

Interesting

I was under the impression that the firewall was not supposed to be active on servers.

If using firewalls on servers is an acceptable practice it would make me very happy because it would help me meet PCI compliance. I was under the impression that the SEP firewall could not handle gigabit+ traffic with acceptable latency.

The SEP firewall is an enterprise grade firewall...

and can be installed on most servers (including Citrix and Terminal Servers) with the corresponding configurations of the rules for the roles the server fills.

Considering the increasing importance of IPS for zero day threats I always recommend that customers install the firewall throughout their environment.
