Cancelling jobs in a "Ready; No idle devices available" status

Hi,
I am having problems with BEWS 2010 R2 and many jobs sitting "Ready; No idle devices available".  Unfortunately, when jobs sit in that status, you can't cancel them.  I have many jobs in that status, but need to cancel them to prepare for tonight's backups.  Currently, I have to wait for the queued jobs to cancel, then wait for the next 2 to be queued up, then cancel those.  It's a pain.

Anybody ever get an answer for this?  I am going to try putting the jobs on Hold and then stop/restart all BE services.  Seems a bit extreme for something that should be fairly simple.
