A clean up setting on clients/media serves like on master servers would be great

Already there...

Most newer components of NBU use Unified Logging, which controls log growth and size, and has simple commands for truncating these debug logs (see vxlogview, vxlogcfg, and vxlogmgr commands/man pages). That said, most of these components exist on the master server, and you are requesting a feature for media servers and clients.

For older components of NBU which use the old-style debug logging (including those on media servers and clients), there is the Robust Logging feature, which allows for the control of how many days / how big the old debug logs get. You must enable this in the Host Properties first on the server(s) in question, and then use vxlogcfg/vxlogmgr to control it. See the documentation.

So have you tried Robust Logging yet?

This should assist you in resolving this issue... search for Robust Logging in the documentation for more information and detailed instructions. And use Technical Articles such as this: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH125990.

Perhaps the enhancements could be that Robust Logging is enabled by default on media servers and clients?

Anyways, even if you leave it as it, people voting for it will draw more of an eye to the issue as it stands, which isn't a bad thing. I just wanted to write that there is some way to assist with this problem, for people facing it now.
