Cleanup after client install
After the Migration and Deployment Wizard is done deploying a package to a client machine, it leaves behind a TEMP directory on the C: drive with the setup package and vpremote. There is no indication what this directory is for and is created by whom. This makes it difficult to decide whether this directory is needed or not.
Ranking by my personal preference, I suggest that one of the following be done
1) The Wizard automatically delete this directory when it is done.
2) put the setup package and vpremote in the temp directory pointed to by the TEMP environment variable. This way, it will be deleted when the user does a disk cleanup.
3) put a text file or some other thing to indicate that the directory is used during a SEP installation and can be deleted.

Good Idea.
"put the setup package and vpremote in the temp directory pointed to by the TEMP environment variable. This way, it will be deleted when the user does a disk cleanup." Would be a good option.
I do agree that it would be a good idea to have a text file to associate that Symantec is the creator of the Setup.exe in that Temp folder. Or just name is Symantec Setup.
I read a post a while back that someone suggested to have the setup.exe be exported with a file that indicates what the settings are for this particular install...IE group name and components that are installed.

^^ That's now included in SEP's functionally, at least it should be, was it 11.0.4x version or 11.0.5x (RU5) which changed this.
JT_T, I just upgraded to RU5
JT_T,
I just upgraded to RU5 and that is when I noticed this garbage being left behind.
