In the Java Administration Console for NetBackup in version 6.5.6, the time format is now in 12-hour format, instead of the previous 24-hour format.
Customers are requesting an option to change the display format between 12-hour and 24-hour format.

The ability to customize the JAVA Administration console to show a 24 hour clock as opposed to locale is imperative in environments that are global minded. Although the US locale is a 12 hour clock, we have many customers that are government/military in which the 24 hour clock is required on all of their systems. The change in 6.5.6 that modified the clock in the Java console has created havoc in these environments as there is no longer a quick look at activities but require conversion to match up to logs and system clocks as they are running a 24 hour clock.
Please provide information on setting it back to a 24 hour clock.
Backups are IT-101 (Do Backups) Doing Backups well is an art form. Nobody cares about getting their data backed up... They only care that you can restore it for them!
This is also the format in NetBackup 7.0.1. My customer is also requesting the ability to change the display back to a 24-hour clock.
A binary is now available to allow customers to choose either the old or new format.
Customers should open support case to request the binary. For 6.5.6 the reference is ET2135271, for 7.0.1 systems the reference is ET2138445.
Case abstract should be "At NetBackup versions 6.5.6 and 7.0.1, the display of date and times in the Java console has changed. A binary is available to allow reverting to the original format."

And will be in future NBU releases since this was a regression.
